A Vocational degree is a fast track to a career. Most programs last anywhere from 4 weeks to 2 years to complete and their primary goal is to place new professionals into various diverse specialized work forces. Vocational programs train for a number of diverse careers such as, medical assistant, automobile mechanic, electrician, nurse, court reporter, and HVAC technician. There are hundreds of diverse vocational programs to offer an additional career enhancement in a relatively short amount of time.

Vocational education offers specific job training. If there is a specific kind of work you are interested in, there is most likely a vocational program that trains in that area. Most vocational programs require a high school diploma or GED for admittance.
